Simon Pearce learned the art of glassblowing in Ireland and Italy before bringing his craft to Vermont in 1981. He set up his workshop in a historic mill in Quechee, powered by the Ottauquechee River that rushes beneath it. Today his studio is known for handblown glass and pottery that is simple, timeless and meant for real life. Each piece is shaped by hand by skilled artisans, so no two are exactly alike.
