Founded in New York City in 1980 by artist Ellen Evans, Terrafirma creates handmade American art pottery for the table and home. Each piece starts with a warm stoneware base. The studio then paints liquid porcelain through textiles and lace, leaving delicate patterns that make every piece one of a kind. Fired at high temperatures and signed and dated, Terrafirma’s dinnerware and serving pieces are made to be used every day. They’re food safe and dishwasher safe.
